Company overview

Both Vector Marketing Corporation and Cutco Cutlery Corporation are wholly owned subsidiaries of Cutco Corporation. Our Cutco products have be manufactured in Olean, NY since 1949. Vector Marketing was founded in 1981 and by 1985 became the sole distributor of Cutco. The company expanded into Canada in 1990 and today there are more than 200 independent Vector offices in North America.

Opportunities

After completing Vector Marketing’s sales training program, sales representatives market Cutco products under the supervision of an office manager. Working as independent contractors, representatives determine their own schedules and work hours based on individual needs.

Daily activities may include:

• Scheduling appointments through personal referrals and presenting Cutco in customer’s homes
• Filling and submitting customer orders
• Reviewing personal performance with the local office manager over the phone daily
• Attending weekly staff meetings, advanced training workshops and conferences

As with any type of business, representatives get started with people they know. In training, representatives learn how to get referrals and grow their business. Our “friends of friends” approach has proven to be quiet effective.

Advancement and Benefits

Vector Marketing also provides qualified reps with an opportunity to advance into management roles including assistant manager, branch manager and district manager. Other advancement opportunities exist as well.
