document.writeln('<p>New graduates face a tough job market. Employers expect to hire 20 percent ');
document.writeln('  fewer new college graduates this spring than they did last spring-fallout from ');
document.writeln('  the dismal economy, according to NACE\'s <i>Job Outlook 2002</i>.</p>');
document.writeln('<p>If you haven\'t found a job yet&#151;or you haven\'t found the job you want yet-there ');
document.writeln('  are steps you can take to make your job search more productive and ensure snagging ');
document.writeln('  the job you want in the future.</p>');
document.writeln('<p>The experts agree&#151;the best way to find work is to work. If you can\'t find ');
document.writeln('  your ideal job, find one that will give you skills that will be used in a professional ');
document.writeln('  setting. </p>');
document.writeln('<p><b>Take a temporary job</b>. You can use your skills, get experience, and keep ');
document.writeln('  your resume current-all things that will serve you when the economy turns.</p>');
document.writeln('<p><b>Investigate an internship</b>. It\'s a valuable way to get experience and ');
document.writeln('  you get your foot in the door-many employers look for their next hire among ');
document.writeln('  their intern pool. </p>');
document.writeln('<p><b>Don\'t let money stand in your way</b>. Evaluate job offers based on more ');
document.writeln('  than the salary they offer. Ask: Is there a potential opportunity here? Is there ');
document.writeln('  room for growth? Can I learn something with the company? Can I find a mentor?</p>');
document.writeln('<p><b>Plug into the professional network</b>. Ask everyone you know for contacts ');
document.writeln('  you can follow-up on. Don\'t forget other networking opportunities: political ');
document.writeln('  campaigns, volunteer work, fundraising, or joining a government organization.</p>');
document.writeln('<p><b>Attend open business meetings</b>. Find profession-specific groups, business ');
document.writeln('  forums, and meetings. For the cost of admission (or a luncheon), you will rub ');
document.writeln('  elbows with experienced people in your field who may be able to look at your ');

document.writeln('<p><b>Don\'t forget your alma mater</b>. There are &quot;safety nets&quot; on campus-the ');
